The steel bars are locked with a steel plate to the top of the hammer head, ensuring the head will never get dislodged. The head is induction-case hardened to 52-56 HRC maximum power and extended life. The ergonomic, vulcanized rubber-grip handle absorbs impact and vibration, reducing user fatigue. Great for driving in stakes, heavy demolition work in construction like fracturing rock, stone and concrete, driving fence posts, iron / rebar work and bending or shaping metal. Also great for police fire and rescue applications as well as in railroad work. Sledge Hammers are used, abused & misused day-in & day-out - for heavy demolition work in construction environments, railroad, underground mining etc. These are rough use tools that take a lot of beating. No matter how much care you take, an incorrect strike of the hammer on the handle instead of the head cannot be avoided.
