Quick dry mat made from a natural sedimentary rock formed by the deposition of ancient diatom fossils. Diatomaceous earth has extremely high porosity at the microscopic level. 1g of high-quality diatomaceous earth contains hundreds of millions of diatom micropore structures, with a total surface area equivalent to a football field! This unique characteristic makes this lightweight stone an excellent choice for placing various kitchen and dining utensils that need to drain water while maintaining cleanliness. When water covers its surface, it is quickly (actually in a few seconds) absorbed by the numerous pores on the stone. Once absorbed, the water spreads over the huge surface area, thereby promoting rapid evaporation and ensuring an efficient drying process. Thanks to its excellent water absorption performance, the surface of the board naturally has anti-slip properties and does not feel wet, which enhances its practicality and safety.
