The large digital display provides an easy-to-use traditional measuring tape with digital readouts and functions. As you pull out the measuring tape blade, the measurement displays on screen for easy reading. To save simply tap a button. It also converts measurements quickly from fractions to decimals, or inches to centimeters and calculate midpoints (great for helping to hang a picture). And finally, no need to bend the tape when measuring into a corner—just select the back of the device as the starting point.

Where did you get the inspiration for your product?
Wanting to make an ordinary everyday tool better, and allow for me to create one with more functionality in gathering data.
What differentiates your product from similar products out there?
We are the original and only digital tape measure on the market today.

The idea had come to Stephen Crane our Founder and Inventor, when working at a foreign shipyard, he needed to use metric measurements and using a traditional tape measure didn’t provide that utility. The original digital tape measure DigiTape was Steve’s first production with the Starrett Company. It did well but Steve wanted to redesign it with the homeowner in mind and with a strong emphasis on styling, compactness, and ease of use. Today he unveils the new eTape16 is now part of the Internet of Things revolution; taking measurements and turning them into data. The first most practical “intelligent tool” is here to make an impact on a product that has not changed for over 100 years.
Processing Time
- We process and ship orders Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.
- Most orders are processed within 1–3 business days, depending on product availability.
- Processing time does not include delivery time, which varies based on your location and the product’s shipping origin.

Carriers
We primarily use USPS and UPS for U.S. deliveries. Items shipped from international warehouses may be handled by partner carriers depending on the country of origin.
Import Duties & Taxes
All import duties and taxes for goods imported into the United States are included in the product price. There are no hidden fees or additional charges at checkout.
Tracking & Notifications
Every order is fully trackable. You will receive a tracking number via email once your order ships. If your order ships in multiple packages, each package will have its own tracking number. If you don’t receive a shipping confirmation immediately, your order is still being processed and will arrive within the estimated timeframe shown at checkout.

Order Changes & Cancellations
If you need to modify or cancel an order, please contact our customer support team as soon as possible. Orders can only be canceled before they ship. Once shipped, cancellations are not possible, but you may request a return after the item is delivered.

Refund Processing
Once your return is received and inspected:
- In-store returns are refunded to the original form of payment or issued as a gift card.
- Mail-in returns using our prepaid label are refunded to the original payment method within 3–5 business days after we receive your return.
