It serves a wide range of applications such as general thread cutting and fixing for rod, bolt, nut and other fasteners, auto repairs for mechanics, machinery and equipment maintenance, metal fabrication, woodworking and a lot more.
All the taps and dies are constructed from highly durable GCr15 bearing steel for extended tool life, and are built to cut through all metal hardware, rods, pipes, plates made from carbon steel, cast iron, alloy steel, stainless steel, aluminum, brass, bronze, magnesium, zinc or other materials.
The taps in this set are most common and general-purpose plug style, featuring a tapered end of 3 to 5 chamfered threads, providing an easier gradual entry when tapping into a blind hole. All the cutting teeth are professionally CNC (computer numerical controlled) machined and heat treated to Rockwell hardness 60 HRC to guarantee precise, aggressive and clean threading results.
