The Anatomy of a DNA High-Performance Filter
1. The DNA Cotton
This DNA cotton gauze was designed by the engineers of the Research & Development department and targets high-efficiency filtration. It consists of "non-woven" surgical cotton gauze, with modified wool and knitting and has particularly high strength. This unique cotton element is usually a "capillary hybrid" that has extremely high flow and excellent filter performance over 98%.
2. The DNA Wire Mesh of the DNA Filters
The DNA wire mesh was designed by the engineers of the Research and Development department of DNA. Made from marine aluminum 5000 series, characterized by a unique "feed", the accuracy of the wire diameter is designed with absolute precision to achieve the corresponding strength and elasticity for life. In addition, it is protected from oxidation by a thin and flexible layer of epoxy coating. The DNA grid is designed to fit in absolute harmony in the layers of the gauze while there is no restriction of airflow.
3. The Filter Element of DNA
The filter element of the DNA filter consists of 4 layers of DNA cotton, arranged between 2 layers of DNA wire mesh with absolute precision. We produce a very large selection of elements, from 8mm to 50mm height. So when designing a new filter, we have the possibility to choose between unlimited combinations of DNA filter elements. Another important property of the DNA filter element is the large radius at the edge of each fold.
4. The DNA Oil Filter
It is an extremely important element of the DNA filter. As soon as the DNA oil is added to the cotton gauze, it is "statically charged" and turns into an unbeatable filter material! To achieve this impressive result, a unique formula of air filter oil has been developed. The specifications of the DNA air filter oil are just as impressive as our filters. The moisture does not erode the DNA oil even when the filter is immersed in water.
5. The DNA - PU (Polyurethane Elastomer)
The DNA-PU is a thixotropic material used for the production of high-quality "frames" of the air filter. The material offers unique specifications. High strength and resistance to high temperatures, fuel and oil resistance, the DNA-PU holds the filter element in place, absorbs vibrations and lasts a lifetime.
6. The DNA - EVA Seals
We use only high-quality EVA seals. Cut and mounted with absolute precision with industrial adhesive guarantees perfect airtight sealing and easy placement of the filter in the airbox. The DNA seals and industrial adhesive were developed to withstand fuel, oil and temperature.
