Overview:
On the plug, you simply press-AND-hold one of the two buttons (red and black, one-at-a-time which allows you to insert a bare wire end of your speaker wire. Once the wire is in, stop pressing the respective button and the plug contacts and grips your speaker wire with an internal spring action.
You would take your bare speaker wire and insert it into this adapter. Once the wire is inserted you push down on the raised red and black buttons . The red and black buttons or keys have a conductive metal blade. When you press them down the blade makes the connection to the positive and negative ends of your speaker wire collectively. Just make sure that you twist your speaker wire tightly at the ends. Make sure that none of the copper strands are twisted into the other side. These are a great way to quickly make interconnects as you need them and at custom lengths.
