If a food deserves the term "superfood", it is the legendary chia seeds. In pre-Columbian times, the nutrient-rich seeds of the Chia were an important agricultural product and also highly valued by the Mayans and Aztecs as a remedy. When it comes to potassium, calcium, iron, proteins and antioxidants, the fiber-rich chia seeds are far superior to many foods. They deliver twice as much potassium, protein and antioxidants as bananas, wheat and blueberries, three times more iron than spinach and even five times more calcium than milk! Unlike flaxseed, which quickly becomes rancid, chia seeds are durable and storable. Similar to flax seeds and psyllium seeds, chia seeds can help activate and nourish the intestines. They have proven themselves against heartburn and can support diets due to the long-lasting satiety effect.
How to use Chia Seed BIO?
Chia seeds should supplement the diet in small quantities. A maximum of two tablespoons per day is recommended. Since important vital substances are lost during cooking and baking, raw enjoyment is preferable - chia seeds are basically also a valuable baking ingredient, for example for protein bars and bread. Chia seeds bind a lot of liquid and are therefore also good for thickening food - whether cereal, yogurt, milkshake or smoothie. The jelly-like substance created when mixing seeds and liquid is rich in enzymes. If you eat the seeds dry, you have to drink a lot in parallel so that they can swell in the stomach.

Tracking & Notifications
