The Bilberry is one of the lesser known berries. It is a small blue/purple berry that comes grows off the plant Vaccinium Myrtillus or Bilberry plant. It’s a shrub that originates from Central and Northern Europe, Northern Asia and America. It is a very short plant only ever growing to 45cm. The best conditions for its growth are in light woodland with a brilliant supply of light. The Bilberry Plant is a flowering and fruit providing plant. The plant blooms in small white flowers. The fruit is a close relative of the blueberry, so they appear very similar. The rich purple blue colour comes from a pigment called anthocyanins. It is flavonoid family, famed for its antioxidant properties.
The Bilberry is not a well known berry but it does contains a variety of phenolic compounds that are anti-oxidising agents. There are extensive benefits particularly for eye and vascular health. As previously mentioned, there is a very high level of antioxidants. The most beneficial element of Bilberry seems to be beneficial to vascular health. It’s thought to prevent oxidation of tissues and maintain the integrity of the vascular tissue. They have also been shown to support the prevention of oxidation of harmful cholesterol (LDL).
Bilberry supplements are most commonly used to improve micro-circulation. This has been linked to improvements in sight degeneration and heavy legs. As a secondary mechanism, due to the high levels of antioxidants in Bilberry extract.
Oxford Vitality not only provides a 4000mg, but also a 2000mg strength. The tablet size is a small 6mm in diameter, with a weight of 120mg, for your ease of taking

Tracking & Notifications
Every order is fully trackable. You will receive a tracking number via email once your order ships. If your order ships in multiple packages, each package will have its own tracking number. If you don’t receive a shipping confirmation immediately, your order is still being processed and will arrive within the estimated timeframe shown at checkout.

Order Changes & Cancellations
If you need to modify or cancel an order, please contact our customer support team as soon as possible. Orders can only be canceled before they ship. Once shipped, cancellations are not possible, but you may request a return after the item is delivered.

Order Cancellation Policy
