AI Prime / Hydra Genuine Single Lens


Genuine Replacement AI Lens for AI Prime, AI Hydra & Fuge Fresh and Saltwater.



This is a replacement lens Aqua Illumination lighting. These will sometimes need replacing as they can get burnt and discoloured, making your light less efficient.



This lens will fit the AI Prime 16HD, Hydra 32HD and Hydra 64HD, for both Fresh and Saltwater.



Please Note: These will not fit the older style Hydra 26/26HD or 52/52HD models.




Fitting Instructions:


The orientation of the light / lens is really important, if installed 90 degrees out of rotation the LED's will be damaged.



1. Remove the 4 x case screws (peel back the label on 16 carefully to reveal 4th screw, or 5 x screws on 64 units)



2. Gently lift the case while pushing down on the black cable grommet that goes into the case to release it, this will allow the top case to be removed fully.



3. Remove the screws from the optics.



4. Remove the optics.



5. Seat the optics making sure that you orientate them correctly, this is most important as the red, green, UV and Violet lenses are different lengths on the back of the optic so will foul the LED’s and damage them if the lens is orientated incorrectly, please see images attached showing the part no on the lens and how that number should be orientated when installing the optic. For 16 the part number should be at 12 or 6 o’clock looking at the Prime face on with the DC cable at the top of the case, take note of the part number position before removing the old lens if uncertain.Image




6. When installing the optic also make sure the little round stand-offs on the bottom of the optics locate into the holes in the puck, see images attached. If they aren’t in the holes when you tighten the screws again, you could damage both the optic and LED’s.



Fit the case in reverse, observing that the grommet shape sits into the case is in the correct orientation others it won't push back into the case (arch shape goes into the case aperture) and push the DC cable back under the comms board so it doesn’t get in the way of the case but don't push too hard as the cable may lift the comms board up and out of the connectors. You will also have to be careful not to dislodge the rubber button whilst you get the case back on. Also place the rubber button on the board rather than in the case, as it’ll keep dropping out when installing.



7. Make sure you are running the latest firmware and for longevity of the lenses please keep the U.V and Violet channels under 70% max as there is no good reason to run them above this and running the channels into HD doesn’t improve colour, growth or health of the coral in our experience and will just decrease the maintenance life of the lens.

Tracking & Notifications

Every order is fully trackable. You will receive a tracking number via email once your order ships. If your order ships in multiple packages, each package will have its own tracking number. If you don’t receive a shipping confirmation immediately, your order is still being processed and will arrive within the estimated timeframe shown at checkout.

Order Changes & Cancellations

If you need to modify or cancel an order, please contact our customer support team as soon as possible. Orders can only be canceled before they ship. Once shipped, cancellations are not possible, but you may request a return after the item is delivered.

Order Cancellation Policy

How to Return an Item

Shipping Cost for Returns

If a return is sent back without prior contact or without our provided label, we cannot be held responsible for return shipping costs.

For items valued over $75, we recommend using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance.
We cannot guarantee that we will receive your returned item if shipped independently.


Refund Processing

Once your return is received and inspected:

  • In-store returns are refunded to the original form of payment or issued as a gift card.
  • Mail-in returns using our prepaid label are refunded to the original payment method within 3–5 business days after we receive your return.

Please allow:

  • 5–7 business days for the return to reach our Returns Center.
  • An additional 3–10 business days for your bank to post the refund to your account.
