The 9’ x 2” SHOCKSTRAP Ratchet Tie-Down Strap features 2 built-in “Shock Strap” shock absorbing Bungee's made out of our proprietary poly formula. We use Black Polyester webbing for increased strength and resistance to elements, heat and fatigue. The strap has a Safety Strap located behind the bungees just in-case something were to happen them, the Safety Strap also acts as a load limiter too. Proudly made in the USA with parts made in New Jersey, Ohio and Taiwan. Our unique ratcheting tie-down is robust, dependable and built-to- last. This patented shock absorbing tie-down soaks up movement from road vibrations so your load stays secure. Other tie-downs can loosen from road vibrations and become unsafe during travel. Even in extremely rough road conditions Shock Strap stretches and contracts like a shock absorber; assuring your load is safe and secure. Designed to provide maximum effectiveness and safety it’s equipped with: a commercial grade ratchet, 2″ black polyester webbing, integrated soft-tie, over-sized double wire hooks, Axle Strap and our virtually indestructible Shock Strap bungee. This 2" strap has a breaking strength of over 6, 000 pounds. The shock absorbing bungees are unaffected by sunlight, won’t crack, break, split, dry-rot, or become brittle; easily withstands exposure to saltwater, gasoline, oil and most chemicals. Extreme temperatures won’t affect the stretch force so it won’t over-stretch in extreme heat or under-stretch in extreme cold. We have sewn in an axle strap on the long side of the strap so you can get to the lowest point of the vehicle, keeping the hook away from it and preventing scratching. When the metal hook won’t fit, use the soft-tie! Simply wrap it around a tie-down point that is solid and firm and pull it tight against the hook. Our 2” polyester webbing is rot, and mildew resistant, feels soft in your hands and has a 8, 000lb pound breaking strength. Our heavy-duty ratchet is bolted on for easy replacement and features an outside release for ease of use, even with gloves. The ratchet is also stamped and DOT certified. Yellow zinc-chromate coated metal parts prevent rust and last up to 10-times longer than chrome. We incorporated a 9" safety strap to assure tie-down remains safely in place in the unlikely event a catastrophic accident broke the Shock Strap bungee. Safety strap also functions as a limiter preventing over-tightening and damage to what you’re securing. Specifications: 3, 000 pound overall working load limit; break strength of 6, 000 pounds. Tracking & Notifications
